Report
The Millnatzenklamm via ferrata is located near the village of Klebas in the Lesachtal valley. The drive to Klebas from Kötschach-Mauthen is tediously long and very winding, though the beauty of the Lesachtal landscape more than makes up for it. The entry to the gorge via ferrata is close to the valley floor and can be reached from the car park in about 10 minutes. The route follows the stream bed upwards without major difficulties. About halfway up, a steep step beside a waterfall (C/D) requires some real arm strength. This section can be bypassed, however. The route continues up over further waterfall steps until the exit is reached after roughly an hour. The return is via a safe hiking trail back to the car park. The route is short and not particularly difficult, but scenically very appealing with its many waterfalls.
